THE GREAT THANKSGIVING BASKETS WRAP-UP
Thank you to those who contributed in the 2021 Womenade Thanksgiving Basket drive. We ended up feeding 66 families! It’s amazing to see what a small group of people can do. There were those who; shopped and dropped off food, gathered bags, loaned out their homes to store food, contributed monetary funds, worked with the Food Bank to secure food, picked up turkeys, drove all over town shopping for the best deals, assembled the bags and delivered bags to the schools. We all came together and made it happen. The deliveries were made on 11/19 to the First5 Early Learning programs in Grover Beach, Nipomo and Oceano, and the Step by Step Early Head Start program at Lopez High School. Each family received 4 bags - one containing a turkey, one with perishables such as rolls, butter, whipped cream, pie crusts, cheese, crema, apples and two bags filled with canned goods, broth, gravy, stuffing, cookies, marshmallows, cake mix and all sorts of additional dinner items. All of our contacts were full of gratitude!
PISMO BEACH ROTARY CLUB
We received a donation from the Pismo Beach Rotary Club for $200 for our Thanksgiving Basket project! We are very grateful!
CHIPOTLE FUNDRAISER

Our Chipotle fundraiser date is finally here! SATURDAY, November 20th from 4 to 8pm at Chipotle in Arroyo Grande with their Do Good for Chipotle and 33%! of each participating meal coming to South SLO County Womenade. Our ordering code is ZYEDN77
In order for your purchase to count towards our fundraiser, you must either a) verbally tell the cashier of your participation, b) show a physical fundraiser flyer (above), c) show a digital flyer on a smartphone or other mobile device, or d) use our fundraiser’s online ordering code ZYEDN77 to place an order for pickup through the Chipotle app or website. Remember, delivery orders or orders placed at a different time/location than the scheduled event will not count towards our fundraiser. Thank you for supporting us!
RAFFLE ITEMS FOR FEBRUARY POTLUCK
We are looking for raffle prizes for a raffle at our February Potluck. We hear people are interested in “experiences” as well as all the wonderful donated items. Our December potluck will be at Candace Guldeman’s home at 6PM on Wednesday December 15th, 2021 at 524 Mesa View Dr., on the mesa in Arroyo Grande, of course depending on the situation with the pandemic! Vaccinated attendees only.
