Potluck fundraisers 2023 was a banner year with eight potluck fundraisers hosted by: Candace Guldeman (January), Lopez High School 1st Annual Tea Party (March), Ann McDowell (April), Linda Fibich (May), Mariam Shah (June), Deb Sherry (July), Womenade Board (October), Candace Guldeman (December)!
In April you supported our annual Admin April fundraiser and our third annual raffle
You spent thousands of dollars and hours for our drives for: feminine hygiene products (April), Toiletries (August), Teachers’ School Supplies (October), food for Thanksgiving baskets for 160 families, food for the school winter break baskets for 100 families
You helped set up a new clothes closet – the Vault – for Families in Transition
We added two new partner agencies – 5 Cities Homeless Coalition and the Department of Social Services (DSS)
You volunteered at the monthly food distributions at the Nipomo Elementary School for over 300 families a month (over 14,000 in the year)
You provided weekly critical weekend food for students who don’t have sufficient food to eat over the weekends at the 3 middle schools, 6 elementary schools and Lopez High School
Started a monthly Laundry Pop-Up project to pay for 3 loads of laundry for individuals at various Laundromats in the 5 cities
Our partner agencies worked tirelessly throughout the year to provide emergency and immediate assistance to individuals and families struggling with the issues associated with poverty and low income, housing challenges, illness, mental health issues, death, transportation, hunger and so much more.
We received significant grants from the City of Grover Beach, The Trilogy Community Service Club, a matching grant donor, and a large donation to buy a huge number of Christmas gifts for children in South SLO County and we met our $5,000 matching grant!

Next Potluck - Mark your calendar! February 15, 2024!
Our first potluck of the 2024 will be at Lynn Heinrich’s home at 759 Avocet Way (in Cypress Ridge), Arroyo Grande. We are always very grateful to Womenaders who step up and offer their home and host a potluck fundraiser for us.
We are looking for more hosts for potluck fundraisers in 2024! Please consider spreading the word throughout South SLO County and inviting your network of friends to join us. You can do this by hosting a potluck fundraiser. There are so many areas in South SLO County that don’t know who we are and what we do! Help us get the word out!
Thank you to our November donors!
