Help Needed

Many of our agencies are working with clients to complete a “Caregiver’s Authorization Affidavit” form for someone else to care for and make decisions for their children but not to establish formal guardianship in the event that the parents are separated from their children. A Caregiver’s Authorization Affidavit is an official form based on California’s recognition that adults who have minors living with them are “caregivers” who often want and need to take some responsibility for the minor’s education and other care. Although the document doesn’t have to be notarized, it is recommended.
We are looking for any people who are notaries who will be willing to offer their services pro bono. If you or know someone who is willing to do this please send us an email at sslocwomenade@gmail.com.
