Our second virtual ZOOM potluck fundraiser is scheduled for August 27th at 6:00PM. Mark your calendars!! Since we can't all be together and can't share all those wonderful potluck dishes we are all so famous for, we thought it would be great to collect great recipes from you and put them in a single document that we could share with attendees at the August 27th virtual potluck. You don't have to attend to send in a recipe, and you don't have to send in a recipe to attend. We all enjoy the good food so much that we are hoping many of you are willing to share. Send your recipe tosslocwomenade@gmail.com as soon as possible and no later than August 23rd.
Invitations for the potluck will be going out via Evite the week of August 17th. If you don't receive an evite and want to attend you can email us at sslocwomenade@gmail.com. We will send out the ZOOM meeting particulars when we learn you want to attend. You can get a jump on things and just let us know now!
Lola Zybura of Cypress Ridge took up one of the volunteer ideas from our last newsletter and is collecting toiletries for those in need in our community. Here is a copy of her email: "Hi I’m Lola Zybura, from Cypress Ridge. I learned that many of our neighbors in need have found sources for food, but are in desperate need of basic toiletries. I am collecting new, regular sized toiletries starting now through the month of August. You can purchase regular sized toiletries and drop off your donation in the bins on my porch at 2367 Brant Street. I will make sure they get to the agencies who can distribute them.
